We're playing. . .

The Monahans. Gid came in and said, "Let's play the Monahans. I'm Dana, you're Miss Karen, Dad's Papa Matt and what are the other names?" So we've been pretending to be the Monahan family this morning. Gid and Ike have been running around all morning with, "Hey, Janie, try to catch me". . . "Dana, can you find me over here?". . . "Miss Karen, what's Phin's name again?" etc. There's conveniently a corresponding person in each of our families. Though Karen, Gid wants to know what the name of the baby growing inside you is. . . Does he know something we don't?

Phat Matt, head of the Monahan clan.

Sorry, Katie. The first posting was quick and sparse. I've added a little more detail that hopefully clarifies what "playing The Monahans" means.

So, Ike is Jane and Phin is Clara Joy ~ do they mind being girls or have they caught that?
I love to watch the kids imaginations grow, it's so fun to see them all fall in with whatever the current 'plan' is from the oldest kid. Do you remember when E/Sam and Syd were Steve Irwin and fam? Syd was still in diapers!

(And Katie ~ watch your mouth, Little Missy, this is a G rated post...don't make me come up there)

Um, I believe I get to rate the posts. Free speech on Clearing Webs. If you don't like it, don't read it, Little Missy.

You're right,Lynnikins, it's your blog and it's up to you and Katie if she uses ugly words on it. My bad.

We feel so flattered! Tell Gid we're working on it... you know what I mean and if and when the next baby Monahan makes himself (?) known, it'll probably take Papa Matt and Miss Karen forever to figure out a name. Maybe Gid wants to come up with some ideas... thanks for the good laugh and the great armpit shot, I'm sure Joseph's jealous. ;)
