Gideon turned four on Saturday. *sigh* It was a great party. It helped me realize how many friends we have made in the eleven months we've been here. My friend Chelsea helped me out tons. I can't believe we didn't get a single shot of her! Lots of candy, cake & junk food. Lots of fun. Here are some teaser pics. Who knows if we'll get the chance to post the others.
Gid enjoyed licking the bowl.
What little cowboy doesn't wash his cake batter down with milk?![]()
Gid decorated his own cake. Ike "helped".![]()
Zack did Gid's hair for the party. Gid's a big fan of the mohawk.
The pinata was a big hit. Ooh. Sorry 'bout the pun.![]()
The other parents seemed a bit fearful when I told Shawn he could have a turn w/the pinata. I carefully showed him not to hit to either side, but only down and he did a great job.![]()
Phin. Need I say more?![]()

Posted by: jen k at April 23, 2007 08:25 PMHappy late birthday Gid. We still have to put the nephews on the dutch calendar in the bathroom. Nice work on the dog, that is exciting. Now that we are moving to a farm I want a dog too! I sheep dog perhaps, named Zippy or Noodle.

Posted by: Christina at April 25, 2007 09:13 AMI LOVE these photos! Your boys are just the dearest, cutest boys:) My sister Amy makes a pinata for each birthday and the requests are getting so difficult that she is going to start doing every other birthday. It all started with a bottom-heavy rhino she made Ezra one year. Now they want her to make super hero heads and dinosaurs:) I keep forgetting to tell you that I tried that recipe with my apples that you suggested and we all loved it. I think we may use it for the boys birthdays in August. Hugs to you!
