Over 20 Inches: Gone
I haven't really cut my hair since I was a senior in high school. I'm gonna be 31 in a month. What I'd do is go about six to nine months then realize my hair's getting all dead at the ends and whatnot, get two to six inches cut off, promise to get a regular trim then go another six to nine months and so on. Well, inspired by my niece who grew hers out for this sole purpose, I realized all this hair's just going to waste hanging around on a girl who only brushes it every other day or so and ties it in a knot half the time so I decided I'd be a better steward of what God's given me and harvest it for good use.
So tonight I went to a salon and got over 20 inches cut off my hair. Right now I'm feeling a little sick to my stomach but I figure there's some wee little gal out there who'll be feeling a lot better about herself round about the time my old locks get made into a wig for her.
