My Three Sons

Number three is a boy. I'm excited, I love the idea of a house full of boys. Andy's mourning a little, but he'll pull through. He was a mover on the ultrasound and I've already fallen head-over-heels in love with him. It was wierd, I had no preferences or feelings one way or the other whether this baby was a boy or girl. Until the night before the ultrasound. I couldn't sleep. I just had this powerful feeling this baby had to be Phineas and I was going to be extremely disappointed if it wasn't. I felt guilty, knowing how much Andy would like a baby girl, but I just couldn't get over the feeling this baby had to be Phineas. So there you have it. Phineas Cobb Perkins. Cobb is Andy's mom's maiden name. Andy was close to his maternal grandparents and maternal great-aunt and uncle. This way we get to honor not just his mom, but those others who have meant so much to him as well.

Now, if this posts, I'll post a long response to Noneya I haven't been able to get up for a while now. We're having trouble from home for some reason. We'll see.

Do you remember the tv show with Fred McMurray as the dad called 'My Three Sons'?

Posted by: Mom at October 8, 2005 09:32 PM

That's what I was alluding to in the title.

I love the name. I love the idea of calling him Phin. Gid, Ike and Phin. Whatta crew!!

Sorry to be so dense.....I hadn't realized you remembered that show. Glad you did. It was kinda cute, even if it was corny. I'm glad you're having another boy even tho I'm eager to have another grandaughter. I'm just pleased you and the baby are healthy regardless if it's a boy or a girl. Either way God continues to richly bless us and I'm grateful for another dear grandchild.

yay for little boys! I like the name, too.

Ultrasounds are so fun. It's so weird to think that that moving BODY on that screen is INSIDE of you! It's your kid!!!

... that poor child. Hopefully his name will be nothing like his personality... just like the meaning of his mothers name is not even close to her appearance!

ok noneya, I'm not prone to swearing (or taking obvious flame bait from obvious trolls), but we've had about enough of your shit. kindly go away.

im over and out.

Posted by: noneya at October 12, 2005 10:54 AM

Does anyone know 'noneya' or is she a person that 'happened' on your webiste?

Posted by: Mom at October 12, 2005 03:19 PM

Gee, Noneya. The definition of Lynn I keep finding is "a cascading waterfall". Oooooh. I sure hope Lynn can live with not looking like a freaking waterfall.

I'm just really baffled. After your apology before I thought you were really beginning to contribute to worthwhile discussion. I was looking forward to respectful debates with opposing points of view. So truly, I'm curious: Why the cheap shot? Seriously, are you okay? Is there something going on in your life that is stressing you out and causing you to need an outlet for random acts of meanness? Is there something we can do for you?

By the way, Bob, I think "loudmouth" is a variant interpretation of the meaning, "oracle". It's Hebrew, literally meaning "snake's mouth", but I read one place that said it is believed to have Egyptian origins or influence. That would make sense since the first instance of the name in the Bible is post-Egyptian redemption. (Ex 6; Num 25)

cool. so he's a parseltounge? and I found Lynn as a variation of Linda, meaning beautiful, which Lynn certainly is.

and thanks for a better response to our troll.
